Who we are
DistCollective, also known as DistC., is an artist duo based in Istanbul, founded in 2019 by Bilge Günay and Ilgın İçözü. The focus of their work is on exploring the organic elements of computational aesthetics through the use of generative algorithms. They create abstract compositions that resemble organic forms by shaping randomness through a combination of human and computer collaboration. The duo produces a diverse range of works, including music, animation, interactive and generative works by using creative coding. They share their long-form generative art collections with audiences through various blockchain platforms.
